نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Heart failure (HF) is a major cause of recurrent hospitalization and death worldwide. Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors including Dapagliflozin are anti-diabetic drugs with promising cardiovascular (CV) effects. We performed systematic review meta-analysis randomized controlled trials investigating the effects in heart patients. Methods: searched PubMed, Scopus ScienceDirect databases. A total 1,567 studies from January 2017 to September 10, 2022, were screened. After applying exclusion criteria, 22 retrieved for full-text screening, 9 them eligible this meta-analysis. Effect estimates dichotomous variables expressed as risk ratio (RR) 95% CI. The primary outcomes incidence all-cause mortality, due HF CV death. This was registered on PROSPERO ID CRD42022347793. Results: 14,032 patients included. overall mortality favored dapagliflozin group over placebo/standard therapy (RR= 0.89, CI: 0.82 - 0.97, P=0.006) pooled not heterogenous (I2= 0%). Additionally, significantly reduced 0.76, 0.70 – 0.84, P> 0.00001, I2= 0%), 0.87, 0.78 P= 0.01, 0%) their composite outcomes. Conclusion: reduces hospitalizations wide range
